Works with IA Engineers to access SCI system security posture. Supports and assists in the development of system security packages based on current doctrine. Supports the network security Certification and Accreditation (C&A) process; participates in C&A test planning and coordination; coordinates with the program leadership, information assurance manager (IAM), information assurance officers, and the Command’s DAA. Prepares detailed information assurance and security documentation in support of C&A and supports any related, ongoing working groups supporting the MCISR-E IA mission. Provides technical and programmatic IA services to customers in support of network and information security systems. Analyzes and evaluates design options; recommends solutions; and guides implementations that maximize the overall protection of the system, while factoring in programmatic, technical, environmental, and other constraints affecting system development | Duties: | • Conduct vulnerability assessments and audits of a large, complex, enterprise network infrastructure.
• Communicate complex technical solutions to all levels of management.
• Provide information assurance support for the development and implementation of security architectures to meet new and evolving security requirements.
• Assist in developing security/IA policies, procedures, and standards as well as processes to support the security posture for the network.
• Research and develop Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) plans.
• Assist in COOP planning.
• Evaluate, propose, develop, and enhance security requirements, policy, and tools.
• Maintain familiarity with a broad range of information assurance and information security standards, concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Support information assurance activities for internal infrastructure as well as for external environments.
| Qualifications: | • Requires current TS Security clearance with access to SCI;
• Requires appropriate DoD 8570 certifications (waivers may be granted in special circumstances):
• CAP, GSLC, CISM, CISSP (or Associate)
