Market Category Manager – MRO
The Market Category Manager will lead the charge for our military MRO and Tool business. Ideal candidate will combine business development experience with an understanding of military needs and will be an EXPERT in the MRO/Tools arena. |
Duties: |
Responsibilities
oCommitted to maximizing sales, margin potential, and growth for the MRO market.
oDevelop and maintain a robust category landscape plan that includes, but is not limited to, category definition, products, vendors, competitors, prioritized target customer list (units, Program offices), contract history, and market trends.
oProvide technical support for Program Sales and Integration Programs primarily, and Unit Sales secondarily, through trade/vendor show attendance, ride-alongs, product briefings, etc.
oResearch User requirements to focus development and sourcing efforts on products/categories that will yield maximum business opportunities for ADS.
oWork with Vendor Relations to identify new product/service solutions and preferred Vendors, as well as maintain pricing, inventory, & terms, to fulfill Customer requirements.
oForecasting and demand planning for the category, as appropriate.
oEducate all appropriate individuals and teams on the MRO market category, its products, and opportunities.
oServe as a subject matter expert for the category.
oMaintain an industry presence within the customers' technical community, vendors, and upstream suppliers.
oParticipate in the solicitation review and proposal preparation process, as appropriate.

Qualifications: |
Qualifications, Required
oBachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university; military/work experience pertinent to the Category may be substituted at hiring manager's discretion.
o10+ years of experience in tools or related segments of the US Government MRO market.
oExtensive tool product knowledge.
oProven experience with US Government contracting and acquisition of MRO items.
oSuccessful track record of business development and/or program management.
oWilling and able to travel frequently.
oHighly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
oExcellent oral, verbal, and written communications skills
oSuperior organizational, problem-solving, and multi-tasking abilities
oAbility to work collaboratively, as well as independently |
