Description:

LoanCare, a division of ServiceLink, has an immediate opening for an Investor Accounting Recon Supervisor. The Investor Accounting Supervisor is directly responsible for supervising, mentoring, and leading the investor accounting staff in ensuring client billing, general ledgers, and bank reconciliations are processed based on requirements along with other duties related to the department.

Duties:

  • Supervises the processing of client billings.
  • Ensures general ledger is reconciled according to accounting cycles.
  • Unclaimed property remittances.
  • Ensures bank reconciliations are completed within deadlines.
  • Ensures all procedures are being followed and controls in place are effective.
  • Collaborates with internal and external auditors, as required, in their research of records.
  • Follows up on check payments returned by the banks.
  • Reviews accounting procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Distributes day-to-day work assignments to investor accounting staff on existing and newly acquired loans.
  • Mentors, trains, and directs activities of staff.
  • Assists Investor Accounting Manager with projects and audits.
  • Performs quality control review as needed in Investor Accounting Department.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Position requires knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations applicable to mortgage and consumer lending. 
  • Knowledge of loan servicing practices.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and analyze accounts and records of a complex, detailed, and recurring nature.
  • Mathematical ability sufficient to perform the job functions.
  • Supervisory skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, train, coach, evaluate performance, and lead a staff in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally, in person and by telephone, with all levels of the organization and with external customers.
  • Strong instructing and advising skillls required.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to enter and extract data from a computer database.
  • Ability to locate data in a computer database for the purpose of reconciling accounts, researching and resolving customer inquiries.  Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Considerable knowledge of and ability to use automated accounting systems; ability to use personal computers, peripherals, business software, and applications specific to organizational needs.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products, a personal computer, and a 10 key calculator.
