POSITION SUMMARY:

Plans, prepares for and conducts Higher Headquarters Force Protection Assessments in the skill set of Security Operations Specialists.

Duties:

JOB DUTIES:          

Provides recommendations to the Garrisons' staff and provides assistance.

Manage the tracking, analysis, and maintenance of trends and systemic findings relating to Security Operations areas.

Assist the IMCOM AT/FP Branch and ESD by providing Security Operations research, analysis, and draft documentation when not planning and conducting assessments.

Work in coordination with other staff in the ESD.

Coordinate, compile, disseminate and update inspection checklists as required.

Key Duties

•·         Serves as a member of the Higher Headquarters Assessment Team (HHAT), providing expertise in a wide range of physical, information, operational, personnel, and industrial security disciplines, performing security reviews, and assessing security policies and systems to ensure that a comprehensive, active and viable security program exists within overseas and remote military installations.

•·         Assesses physical security, reviews installation antiterrorism planning, evaluates access control and perimeter deterrence, measures training and antiterrorism awareness, and evaluates personal and executive protection.

•·         Collects information through interviews with key physical security and antiterrorism/force protection personnel. Reviews operational plans, physical/personal protection procedures and security forces manning, training and equipment.

•·         Determines viability of AT/FP plans (contains all key components) and its execution (sufficiently resourced, detailed, distributed, and exercised). Determines whether procedures in place provide for a seamless AT/FP defense in depth.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of AT/FP experience and Bachelor's Degree

• Be familiar with DoD Antiterrorism/Force Protection guidelines and operations

• Be experienced in military or civilian law enforcement or security (any military Service)

• Working knowledge of the Core Vulnerability Assessment Program (CVAMP)

  • Experience with the latest Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good organizational, writing, communication, listening and people skills
• Positive attitude--be able to work well with others (clients/teammates)

Strategic thinker, proactive, self-starter• Desirable, but not required: Be experienced in emergency management and have completed appropriate training for his/her former position, to include applicable NIMS courses, especially ICS-100, 200, 300, 400, 700, and 800b

• 50% Travel; Must be able to travel unrestricted worldwide
