Description: | Modea is looking for Front End Web Developers who can create engaging, interactive experiences on platforms ranging from small micro-sites to large, global, multilingual enterprise systems. Our Front End Developers code for clients who embrace emerging technologies which means we dont just code for the traditional browser solutions anymore. Instead we play around with the newest technologies such as mobile applications, HTML5 and social media integration. In order to be successful at this we need developers who arent afraid to push the limits of what can do be done with code. We need people who love exploring new methods and techniques and live to take websites to a new level.
In short, we need Front End Developers who can bring awesome design to life.
Knowledge and Responsibilities
Strong knowledge of XHTML and CSS2 - and working knowledge of HTML5/CSS3
Passion for researching new trends within CSS/HTML
Expert at Javascript
Detailed knowledge of jQueryExperience with AJAX, XML and JSON data formats and an understanding of developing within a MVC architecture
Extremely comfortable with Cross-browser compatibility/testing with the ability to build a highly interactive site that works flawlessly in all the major browsers
Understanding of browser/platform constraints and accessibility factors
Knowledge of SEO and experience architecting the front-end to optimize for these considerations
Understanding of Photoshop and how to work with design comps to best create images & other assets
Experience with server-side technologies such as PHP, ASP, MOSS, Zend is a big plus. You should be able to work efficiently alongside both creative and web application development teams
Experience with coding for mobile technologies a big plus as well
An online portfolio of your best work is absolutely essential
Computer Science or related degree from an accredited university or a minimum of five years professional development experience.
