Description: |
| Provides support services, under the supervision of the appropriate professional staff that assists the client or family in the achievement of physical and emotional comfort according to physician’s orders. |
Duties: |
1. Proficient with Vital Signs
2. Bathing
3. Grooming
4. Meal preparation (disease specific, cardiac, renal)
5. Assistance with Medication administration
6. Observation of wounds
7. Observation of chronic disease (diabetes, respiratory, cardiac disease)
8. Assistance with rehabilitation

Qualifications: |
1. Current License- certification as a nursing assistant in the state of Virginia
2.Upon hire, HHAs will have received at least 75-hours of training, the content of which addresses all subjects listed at 484.36(a)
3. Minimum of two (2) years full-time direct, patient care experience within a hospital/nursing home of skilled home health agency.
4. Able to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
5. Able to work as a team member.
6. Current CPR certification
7. High school graduate or equivalent.
8. Current driver’s license and vehicle for transportation
9. Must be familiar with general use and functions of the computer, such as, user names and password concepts; internet; e-mail; navigation of computer desktop, including starting programs, using files, and windows, effectively use navigation buttons and tool bars; ability to self-manage online HR services and online training programs .
