Description: |
The ECommerce Web Designer is responsible for designing and developing web pages that meet marketing objectives, and follow customer usability best practices.
• The ECommerce Web Designer will:
1. participate in creative content planning sessions
2. assisting with site map and wireframe composition
3. create design comps
4. optimize graphics for the web
5. create and design copy, graphics, and html for email campaigns
6. implement best practices for site usability and conversions
• Web Designer/Developer will work closely with Content Specialist, Project Manager and others to ensure projects meet deadlines.
• The Web Designer creates web pages using HTML, JavaScript, CSS and other web development standards.
• Great strengths in design with Photoshop, Illustrator and other design tools is mandatory.
• This role integrates various components such as animations, sounds, database connectivity, videos and Flash.
• They are responsible for testing and bug fixing, and then scheduling the new content in our content management system.

Duties: |
• Web site and email campaign design.
• Designing for conversion and usability.
• Create web experience with customer needs in mind.
• Create intuitive navigation and specific user paths.
• Run usability and A/B testing
• Image preparation
• Develop strategy for new Internet graphic methods and designs.
• Ensure the site appears properly on all target browsers and Internet devices (according to W3C standards), including Windows and Mac and mobile devices.
• Creates pages in our content management software templates that other departments will use to post their information (employment, promotions, etc.).
• Responsible for defining the end user requirements (lowest browser version to target, what is end user connection speed, what plug-ins will they need and how do we detect if they have them, how do they get them, what constraints do all of the previous impose?).
• Works with the IT team to ensure necessary back-end components are implemented on schedule.
• Must stay up to date with all technological advances, browser and mobile internet technologies and update team on opportunities that these new technologies will create.
