Currently we are seeking a Clothing & Textiles Subject Matter Expert (SME) for our Virginia Beach, VA office.
This individual will serve as the Subject Matter Expert for clothing and textiles at ADS. This position’s primary focus is to support Sales and Business Development in maximizing C&T business opportunities by providing technical support and product solutions that will meet customer requirements. This position will interface with Sales, Business Development, Military & Federal Customers, Preferred Vendors, and C&T Design/Sourcing/Program Management.

Duties: |
• Maximize commercial sales and margin potential for C&T product category
• Support Sales teams by identifying C&T product solutions and preferred vendors to fulfill Customer requirements
• Accompany Sales on ride-a-longs for C&T related product categories
• Attend Sales trade and vendor shows to provide technical C&T product support
• Forecasting and demand planning for commercial C&T integration programs (GENIII, FREE, PCU, etc).
• Present product briefings to key Customers on C&T integration contracts (GENIII, FREE, PCU, etc)
• Work with Sales, Design, and Sourcing to identify and grow C&T product category
• Research User requirements to focus development, sourcing efforts on products/categories that will yield maximum business opportunities for ADS
• Research and develop international C&T business opportunities in conjunction with Sales

Qualifications: |
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (Master's preferred); experience may be substituted at hiring manager’s discretion
• Minimum 5 years experience in military Clothing & Textiles or related category
• 3 years of experience with Clothing and Textile manufacturing product/performance requirements highly preferred
• Extensive C&T product knowledge required
• Familiarity with Government contracting vehicles desired
• Travel required – 75%, including international travel
• Highly Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Excellent oral, verbal and written communication skills
• Superior organizational, problem-solving, and multi-tasking abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently
